It’s good to know that, in these times of financial uncertainly, your cash-strapped master spy is being catered for by the likes of Chinavasion thanks to products like this supremely stylish (apparently) Spy Camera Watch that comes complete with concealed camera and which can capture video at frankly pitiful resolutions (that said, if you happen to know a CSI you’ll be laughing as we all know that they can magnify any digital image to any size with absolutely no pixilation whatsoever – sorted).
Yes, you too can capture covert video footage from the vantage-point of your wrist at a pin sharp 352 x 288 resolution with all the fluidity that 15 frames per second can offer, thus allowing you to document the dastardly deeds of those that threaten all we hold so dear in glorious LD (Low Definition).

Flippancy aside (and it’s going to be difficult, but we’ll give it a go) the Spy Camera Watch, which records video in AVI format at the aforementioned resolution complete with sound, comes with 4GB of built-in storage capacity though, according to the official product site, you’ll have to position yourself at between 2-3 meters range of your subject in order to get optimum clarity (and just 1-2 meters if you want sound). Now I don’t know about you, but that’s pretty close – but that really shouldn’t be too much of a problem for a spy of your calibre, should it? Oh, and incidentally, in terms of just how much video footage 4GB will afford you, we cannot say except to quote the product site that states: ‘you will get hours upon hours of video’. (Classified information, probably).
Offering a ‘metal and glass construction’, the Chinavasion Spy Camera Watch – which does also actually fully function as a timepiece, in case you’re wondering – will set you back around a mere $50 (and if MI5 are reading this, you’ll be glad to know that generous discounts are offered for bulk purchases).
Of course, we suspect it might not impress the ladies – but, in these times of economic belt-tightening and shrinking budgets, something’s got to give, hasn’t it.
