Purportedly capable of actively cancelling out around 1/8 of ambient noise (up to 18.5db noise suppression), the JVC HP-NCX78 active noise cancelling headphones are powered by a single AAA battery and offer up to 50 hours of endurance – depending on battery type.

Provided in in-ear silicone headphones to ensure a snug fit, the JVC HP-NCX78 active noise cancelling headphones, which weigh in at a mere 38g inclusive of battery, offers a maximum output of 20mW, a frequency range of 18 – 22,000Hz and, according to the official Japanese press release are set for release sometime in October ’09 (there’s advance notice for you) for an as yet undisclosed price.
