
Following on from speculation mounting as of Thursday of last week, Dell have now unveiled their UltraSharp 2209WA 22” Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor which, according to Dell, ‘boasts excellent color accuracy and uniformity’ thanks to employing Trucolor technology offering a 16.7 million color palette though Dell actually offer scant detail concerning exactly what TrueColor offers apart from ‘deeper, more vibrant reds, greens and blues.’
The monitor itself offers a pivoting display sporting a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 with a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 300cd/m2 brightness, horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178̊ and a 5ms typical response time and, in terms of connectivity, offers DVI-D and analogue (with HDCP) and 4 x USB 2.0 ports.
