Westinghouse Portable LCD HDTVs [PT-19H340S, PT-22H340S, PT-22F380S]

Westinghouse has launched three LCD HDTVs meant for on-the-go viewing. The small 19″ and 22″ PT Series portable HDTVs are ideal for small houses, kitchens, basements, game rooms and even backyard picnics. The models in question are PT-19H340S, PT-22H340S, PT-22F380S and all three tout compact size and affordability as their selling points.

The PT Series LCD HDTVs deliver a 720p (1366 x 768) high resolution, an aspect ratio of 16 X 9, response time of 5ms, ATSC/NTSC/CATV/ClearQAM tuner, and an HDMI input. All three models also feature Westinghouse Daybright technology which enables the units to adjust brightness according to the ambient light. All three models will be available in March, as of now there is no word on their pricing. However, given the Westinghouse tradition of affordable prices, these pieces will surely retail at value price points.

The 22″ PT-22F380S offers the best contrast ration of 1000:1; the other two models 19” PT-19H340S and 22” PT-22H340S both offer a 800:1 contrast ratio. The 22″ PT-22F380S also offers true 1080p resolution and 300 nits of brightness which makes it ideal for use as a PC display monitor as well.
