
MSI has announced the X-Slim Series X320 with a 13.4-inch LED backlit display and a 16:9 screen with a resolution of resolution of 1366×768 pixels. On the inside it has the Intel Menlow platform with a 1.6Ghz Atom Z530 processor, 2GB of DDR2 internal memory, and a 2.5-inch mechanical hard drive.
The X320 bears some design resemblance to the MacBook Air, however the two notebooks cater to two very different customer segments.

The 1.3 kg / 2.87-pound X-Slim X320 measures 1.98 cm at its thickest with its thinnest portion measuring a mere 6 mm. The standard issue is with a four-cell battery; however MSI is also offering an eight-cell battery version which can last up to ten hours between charges. The notebook offers excellent connectivity with support for 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5G HSDPA modem, three USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, an all-in-one card reader and a VGA output.
The MSI X-Slim X320 will be available from the second quarter of 2009 and retail for approximately $800. It will be available in three colors – Champagne, Pearl White and Black.
