Whether by accident or design, the UK retailer Tesco has not only begum offering Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 Atom powered netbook via its Tesco Direct online portal but have also let the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbbook’s unit pricing out of the bag in advance of Dell making any official statement in a more that’s sure to result in a few red faces at both companies.
Dell, who has been particularly tight-lipped concerning the unit pricing of its Inspiron Mini 10 notebook, are yet to issue any official statement at the time of writing concerning its Inspiron Mini 10 notebook’s price point being let out of the bag, so to speak, but there’s no doubt that any fanfare planned by Dell concerning the release of the Inspiron Mini 10’s price has, thanks to Tesco, been totally undermined (assuming that Tesco have released this information without Dell’s knowledge and/or approval).

There are no surprises concerning the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 notebook’s specifications as detailed by Tesco Direct:
1.6GHz Atom Z530 Processor*
1GB RAM
160GB 5400rpm HDD
10/100 LAN RJ 45
802.11b/g Wireless
3 x USB
MS XP Home OS
* Interestingly Tesco actually bill the Mini 10’s CPU as a 1.33GHz Z520, but we assume that this is an error on their part, as the CPU of the Mini 10 has already been confirmed by Dell as being the 1.6GHz Z530.
