When we initially happened upon this Music Drop we, quite possibly like you, envisaged it potentially projecting video content but, alas, this is not the case, nevertheless the Music Drop Audio Player designed by Gowoon Jeong is an interesting take on highly portable DAPs.

Sporting a control system that, unfortunately, more than resembles that found on iPods – we say unfortunately not because the iPod control system is bad (quite the contrary) but simply because, for us at least, it shows a certain lack of imagination by the designer – the Music Drop Audio Player dispenses with any form of embedded display thanks to being capable of projecting track and artist as well as playlist information onto a surface such as a wall or even the users hand. Interestingly this projection is projected in circular form – no doubt for stylistic reasons alone – which may make it a little harder to gain at-a-glance info, but it’s a reasonably sound idea none the less – assuming that the light is bright enough to be seen in strong sunlight.
Gowoon Jeong’s Music Drop Audio Player is merely a concept at this stage.
