We’ve covered a few night vision devices here on TFTS but, having recently covered the EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles – which very much fall into the ‘toy’ category – we felt obliged to offer a heads up concerning the Night Owl iGen 20/20 NOIGM3X-IC Night Vision Monocular which is very much not a toy and is aimed at specifically at those looking for professional night vision optics whether for hunting, spying or security purposes.

The Night Owl iGen 20/20 NOIGM3X-IC Night Vision Monocular, which is powered by four AA batteries, is billed as offering a 330’ field of view at up to 2.6x magnification whilst being capable of amplifying low ambient light by up to a particularly impressive 650x at between 2 – 30fps and comes complete with integrated stills camera which saves captured imagery (black and white) in either JPEG or TIFF file format directly to SD memory card.

The Night Owl iGen 20/20 NOIGM3X-IC Night Vision Monocular will set you back just shy of $600 (and that’s already factoring in an apparent saving of $200).
