Nextar Z10 LCoS Micro Projector
Nextar is all set to launch a LCOS [Liquid Crystal on Silicon] micro projector – the Z10. The Z10 is a portable and economical solution that will enable professionals and teachers to make quality presentations indoors and outdoors. The Z10 is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand and yet offers an impressive resolution of 640 x 480. Brightness is within a range of 7 lumen – 12 lumen. The lens can be rotated 360 degrees and has an aspect ratio of 4:3.

The Z10 can receive file inputs through microSD / TF cards, a USB port and L/R audio ports. It is offered along with a 20″ screen (PS-001) and a mini-tripod stand. The micro projector weighs less than 2.5 pounds underscoring its portability. The Z10 works on AC and DC making it suitable for use almost anywhere.
Video compatibility includes AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, RM/RMVB, ASF, FLV, and WMV9/VC1. Audio compatibility includes MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, APE, ALAC, and MPEG1/2/2.5. You can view images in BMP, JPEG, and GIF formats. The Z10 also offers MP4 compatibility.
The product will be available in Spring 2009. The Z10 micro projector will cost $299.99 and the PS-001 portable screen will cost $39.99.
