Jaybird have started 2009 by announcing a number of new products which include a new A2DP stereo Bluetooth headset that appear to be an updated version of Jaybirds already available JB-200 headset (the new Jaybird Stereo Claws headset being visually indistinguishable from the JB-200 model) though these new Bluetooth headphones come with a number of improvements including apt-X audio compression which, Jaybird claim, puts the sound quality offered well into the same league as that offered by high-end wired headsets.

Additional refinements over the older JB-200 stereo Bluetooth headset includes the Jaybird Claws coming with newly designed tips offering not only enhance sound isolation but also a better, more comfortable fit for more ear sizes (and shapes, we assume) though at the time of writing both detailed specifications and pricing information are yet to be provided. Jaybird have confirmed, however, that their new Jaybird Stereo Claws headset, which are due to begin shipping sometime in April, will make an appearance as this years CES at which point we’ll naturally bring you an update.
