The Sonic Chair Gets a 20" iMac Touch Upgrade

sonic chair

What do you get when you marry a strange looking piece of furniture with a multimedia device? You get the Sonic Chair and should you wish to buy it, be prepared to shell out in excess of $10,000 for it. The Sonic Chair is a concept piece shaped like a speaker and YOU get to sit inside the speaker. The base of the chair is a stainless steel pedestal used for cable management as well as support and the body is made from very high quality leather with suede microfiber lining.

The membranous backrest adds to the listening experience as you sit ensconced in the Sonic Chair. The chair also features an MP3 jack. A 20″ touchscreen iMac adds the final touch for those in search of auricular bliss (or at that price – decadence) that combines comfort and high-quality sound. The iMac features a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB memory and 250GB hard drive, 8 x SuperDrive and ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics. The iMac is fixed to a satin stainless steel hinge for smooth movement. You get a choice of 35 colors to choose from though personally I would take one color choice and a few hundred quids removed from the retail price.
