Samsung SCH-W690 Launched

Samsung have launched a new, mid-range clamshell cell phone – the Samsung SCH-W690 – which comes with AMOLED display and integrated GPS and which is being aimed specifically at the South Korean market with the W690 set to become available via SK Telecom.

Whilst hardly a cutting edge handset, the dual display Samsung SCH-W690 cell phone is undoubtedly a particularly good looking clamshell courtesy of its sleek design and is set to become available in black and white versions. From a features perspective the GSM/HSDPA Samsung SCH-W690 cell phone sports an externally mounted 1.5” 128 x128 resolution screen paired with an internal 2.8” AMOLED 240 x 320 resolution 262K color display, integrated MP3 player and FM Tuner, GPS functionality, a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity.
Measuring in at 101 x 51.6 x 16.95mm and weighing in at 123g, there’s no word concerning the SCH-W690’s pricing at the time of writing or whether the SCH-W690 will ever see a release outside of South Korea.
