VeseNET HomePlug

Solwise has come out with a ‘three Ethernet port switch’ that lets you connect devices in a home or office setup without adding to the number of wires and cables already present. The company calls it “No New Wires communications” at speeds of up to 200Mbps. The gadget imaginatively or unimaginatively is called the PIGGY6 HomePlug Power Strip. It enables connectivity between multiple home gaming consoles, AV devices, desktops computers, and notebooks.
The device is plugged into an AC-power source and six devices can then be plugged into this one for power. 128-bit AES encryption and filters ensure performance levels and security. You will need at least two such devices to create a network in which you can share printers, gaming consoles, the Internet, etc. The VeseNet HomePlug will cost £85.03 and will be available after January 16, 2009.
