Sanko MP3/MP4 Video Camera LCD Watch

Not withstanding the fact that watches the size of house bricks have never been the most flattering of accessories this Sanko LCD watch is worth a brief mention on account of its ability to both play and record AVI video as well as serving as a wrist based DAP.

Sporting a 1.8” 160 x 128 resolution LCD and packing in 4GB of integrated storage capacity, this Sanko MP3/MP4 Video Camera Watch is billed as being capable of recording up to 3.5 hours of AVI video using the H.263 codec at 352 x 288 resolution or, if you prefer, it can capture stills at a 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution which can subsequently be uploaded to your PC courtesy of the watch’s inbuilt USB connectivity. Additionally the watch also comes with somewhat barebones DAP functionality with support for MP3 and WMA audio file formats as well as serving as a wrist based digital photo viewer though, once again, its file format support is limited (in terms of image support you’re just looking at JPG).

The Sanko MP3/MP4 Video Camera LCD Watch, which measures in at a rather substantial 37 x 52mm and weighs 100g, will set you back ¥14,800 – which equates to around $162/€121/£108 as at the time of writing.
