Whilst digital photo frames that support video are nothing new, this new multimedia digital photo frame from iRiver known as the Framee-L – distinguishes itself offering full support for MPEG4 AVC/H.264 encoded AVI video at 30fps whilst also offering support for MP3, WMA and WAV audio file formats at up to 320kbps quality.

Sporting a 7” WVGA (800 x 480 resolution) LCD display offering up to 200cd/m2 brightness and 500:1 contrast, the iRiver Framee-L multimedia digital photo frame comes with 1GB of integrated storage capacity as well broad memory card support (namely SD, MMC, Memory Stick and CF) and as well as built-in stereo speakers and full feature remote allowing you to control everything from movie playback to slideshows and even the inbuilt calendar and digital clock applications from a distance.

Purportedly set to begin shipping in Japan from 20 December (08), the iRiver Framee-L Multimedia Digital Photo Frame will retail for around ¥17,800 – which equates to around $195/€146/£131 at the time of writing.
