iLuv INT170 Internet & FM Radio iPod/DAP Speaker Dual Alarm Clock

Certainly no strangers to TFTS, iLuv have released their latest gadget aimed squarely at the prized and especially limited real estate on your bedroom table in the form of the iLuv INT170 Internet Radio with Dual Alarm Clock (a catchy name if ever there wasn’t one) which offers access to the ever-growing throng of (mosty rubbish) internet radio stations as well as coming with an FM tuner and, not unsurprisingly, dual alarm functionality.

Interestingly, detail is a little vague as to whether the iLuv INT170 is capable of streaming media via a home network though iLuv have at least confirmed that the INT170’s clock is kept in check thanks to the device’s internet connectivity but, as streaming is not listed as a feature we can only assume its not on the cards – which is somewhat of an oversight – or perhaps they just forgot to mention it – which is also somewhat of an oversight. Personally, we suspect it’s the former.

Thankfully, rather than leave us completely blind as to exactly what their INT170 Internet Radio with Dual Alarm Clock  brings to the table, iLuv have at least offered reasonable insight as to its features in detailing via the somewhat unfinished product page that the INT170 offers 8 presets for internet and FM radio stations (8 each, or 8 between them we’ve not sure) though their press release states the device has 40 presets. (One could be forgiven for thinking that iLuv are somewhat lacking concerning knowledge of their own products).

Assuming the remaining features as detailed are indeed correct, the iLuv INT170 offers a total output of 6W (RMS), measures in at 13.5” x 5.8” x 6.6” (though the measurements provided, interestingly, are presently marked as TBD) and may or may not weigh in at 5.31 lbs (again TBD). It also comes with a line input for any audio devices with 3.5mm jack – allowing it to act as a speaker for your iPod or other DAP/PMP.

One cannot help but wonder whether the iLuv INT170 actually exists at all or even whether it looks like the image above and, to be frank, in all the confusion I even think I’ve forgotten my own name.

The iLuv INT170 Internet Radio with Dual Alarm Clock is apparently available now for around $199.
