Clevery ST8 Mini Nettop Ultra Compact PC

Boasts Atom/Core 2 Duo CPU Options

Japanese vendor Clevery have announced a new ultra compact PC in the form of the Clevery ST8 Mini Nettop which is available with a number of CPU options – namely 1.6GHz Atom, 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo E7300 or 3.0HGzE8400 processors – and which boasts a surprisingly good spec considering its particularly competitive price point.

Utilising Intel’s 945GC Express chipset the Clevery ST8 mini nettop, which is not quite as compact as Asus Eee Box, packs in 2GB of RAM, a 7,200rpm 500GB SATA HDD and HDMI output and whilst we are, at this time, unable to get our hands on a full and detailed spec sheet the fact that the ST8 Mini is priced that the equivalent of around $375 means that, based on the above known features, its certainly packing a reasonable punch.

Unfortunately for those looking for a compact nettop the chances of seeing the Clevery ST8 Mini released outside of Japan are about as slim as I am increasingly not (which, roughly translated, means there’s no change at all). Shame.
