Kingston have announced that their range of DataTraveler DT50 USB fUSB flash memory drives has been supplemented with a new 64GB DataTraveler DT50 serving to double the capacity previously available in the DataTraveler DT50 range.
‘The new 64GB DataTraveler 150 takes transportable storage to the next level with big capacity in a small package,’ said Jaja Lin, Flash business development manager at Kingston, who announced the new 64GB DT50 drive. ‘As file sizes increase with digital media content such as music and photos, the need for USB Flash drives with high capacities will continue to rise. The DT150 certainly addresses those needs today.’

The new 64GB DataTraveler DT50 USB flash drive offers broad compatibility with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems but (and it’s a big but) the Vista users should note that the new 64GB DataTraveler 150 is billed as NOT being Vista ReadyBoost compatible (no doubt due to the read/write speeds of the drive – which, incidentally, are not specified in Kingston’s press release - not being fast enough to merit the drive playing ball with ReadyBoost).
The new Kingston 64GB DataTraveler DT50 USB flash drive will set you back $177.
