Having received much hype, though it has to be said not from us (not for any particular reason), news hitting the wires indicates that Asus will be releasing their Eee Tp all-in-one touchscreen PCs, which are being widely touted as being direct competitors to Apple’s iMac (though, we suggest, more specifically Dell’s XPS One) – namely the ET1603 & ET1602 – tomorrow (19/11/08) though, even at this late juncture, pricing details remain strictly under wraps.
The lower-end Asus Eee Top ET1602, whilst boasting similar specifications to the ET1603, notably comes sans the ATI HD3450 graphics card offered by the ET1603 and without the ET1603’s battery but, like the ET1603, comes with a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor CPU under the hood as well as offering a 15.6” touchscreen LCD, 160GB HDD, integrated WiFi (802.11n), a 1.3MP camera and dual SRS speakers rates at 4W apiece.

Rumoured pricing (and, in the event of no official pricing info being available, this is all we can offer by way of insight) is expected to begin at around the $500 price point but you can rest assured that we’ll endeavour to offer official pricing details the moment Asus see fit to furnish such details.
Sidenote: We note that Play.com have the Asus Eee Top already available for pre-order as of now for UK and European consumers priced at £450/€630.
