iBoogie iPod & MP3 Player Speaker LED ‘Dance Machine’

Personally pretty much any device that comes with (we assume, the original recording of) Canned Heat is, quite probably, going to be okay with use and, coincidentally, this iBoogle LED interactive speaker for iPods and other MP3 players/DAPs does exactly that whilst proving, somewhat ironically, that there are exceptions to the rule.
Agreed, considering the price of the iBoogle its reasonably safe to assume that you’re hardly going to get audiophile quality sound from this particular speaker unit but what you do get is an LED display featuring a stick man that’ll dance to your tunes with ‘over 50 choreographed dance moves’. Yes, you guessed it – this is apparently aimed squarely at the teenage market.
But, though we may seem all to quick to cast dispersions, the fact is that, for its (assumed) market there’s no doubt that the iBoogle will go down particularly well as you/your child tries to copy the LED stick man’s moves in the privacy of their own bedroom prior to trying to pull that idiot with two tonnes of gel in his hair at the next school disco (yes, the very same one that you suspect nicked your car’s hub caps just the other week).
iBoogie iPod & MP3 Player Speaker LED ‘Dance Machine’ Features:
- Compatible with most MP3 players including iPod
- Sound responsive
- Push-button activated – simple to use
- Includes the song “Canned Heat”
- Measures approx. 3.13″L x 2.13″W x 4.5″H
- Power Source: 3 AA batteries, included
- Made in China (*a selling point, apparently)
- Comes with a manufacturer’s 90-day limited warranty
The iBoogie will set you back just shy of a very reasonable $20 (now you know what sort of sound quality it more than probably delivers). Interestingly reader responses to the original posting at Chip Chick would appear to be less than complimentary.
