Dell Inspiration Mini 12 Laptop Available in US

Three Inspiration Mini 12 Base Models On Offer

Dell have officially released their Inspiration Mini 12 laptop – which actually sits comfortably between being a netbook and an ultraportable – in the US following its previous release in Japan with three specific models presently being offered in the Inspiration Mini 12 line-up offering Intel Atom Z520 and Atom Z530 processors with 1.33GHz to 1.6GHz clock speeds and HDDs ranging from 40GB to 80GB in capacity.

In terms of base level specifications – needless to say, a host of customisation options are on offer – the Dell Inspiration Mini 12 comes with a 12.1” widescreen 1280×800 LCD display, 1GB RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500 graphics, a 802.11g WiFi and, whilst all come bundled with Vista Home Basic one other notable difference between the three models on offer is the battery – with the cheapest unit sporting a 3-cell 24WHr Lithium-Ion unit whilst the mid and higher range Mini 12’s come with a 6-cell unit.

Pricing of Dell’s Inspiration Mini 12 starts at $549 running through to $649 though, obviously, depending on your customisation choices, you should factor in the fact that these price points are for the base level units only.
