Nintendo Wii Speak Microphone Available Now To Pre-Order

Release Set For 16 November

Nintendo’s latest accessory for its ever popular Wii gaming console, the Nintendo Wii Speak Microphone – which will allow Wii users with net access who have passed each other ‘Friend Codes’ to converse via Nintendo’s Wii Speak channel – has just become available for pre-order either as a stand-alone item or bundled with Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City (the first Wii Speak compatible title).

Consisting, in essence, of a microphone that is designed to sit atop your television, or in any other suitable placement, the Wii Speak will work in conjunction with your Wii Mii and, thanks to the high sensitivity of the Wii Speak microphone its billed as being capable of picking up anyone speaking in the same room – thus allowing entire families or groups of friends to converse via their Mii personas and opening up the avenue for truly social and collaborative gameplay in future Wii software titles.

The Wii Speak Microphone, which is set for release on 16th November, can be pre-ordered now via Amazon for just shy of $30 just just the Wii Speak unit or bundled with the aforementioned Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City Wii software title for $75.
