LaCie Internet Space External Network Hard Disk

Employing the same minimalist design courtesy of Neil Poulton as their long since available ‘monolithic’ external USB hard drives, except for substituting a black for white, this new Ethernet HDD from LaCie, known as the LaCie Internet Space, has been designed as your ‘personal web portal for accessing data from anywhere’ meaning that, in essence, it serves as a personal media server allowing you to share content with others directly via the internet.

Offering storage for home computers and UPnP or DLNA certified players/adapters, the 1TB LaCie Internet Space HDD facilitates remote uploading of and remote access to your files, such as music and video thanks to built-in Gigabit Ethernet as well as serving as a standard backup drive and can even be backed up itself via its USB connection to an additional HDD.
Compatible with both Macs and PCs, the 1TB LaCie Internet Space comes with HipServTM DesktopMirror software and retails for just shy of £180 ($286) though a 500GB capacity version is also available which will set you back £134 ($212).
