Following on from its release in Europe, it now appears that the Japanese are set to get Samsung’s Omnia touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 powered smartphone under the guise of the SoftBank 930SC Omnia which, whilst boasting all the base features of its counterpart (such as 8MP camera and 8GB on built-in storage capacity) will also feature an integrated 1-Seg TV tuner and an updated (larger) touchscreen display.

Offering a 3.3” 800×480 resolution touchscreen TFT (the standard Samsung Omnia’s display measures in at a somewhat less 3.2” whilst sporting 240×300 resolution), the SoftBank 930SC Omnia is due to become available in Japan from November for an as yet undisclosed price in black, red and white.
