Philips GoGear MP3 Player Gets Color OLED Screen

Philips have announced the up and coming release of an updated version of their GoGear SA2825 MP3 player which is widely seen as a direct competitor to (specifically) Creativc’s Zen Stone Plus DAP, namely the GoGear SA2940, now sports a new 1.5” OLED color screen.
Measuring in at a decidedly compact 41x41x15mm, apart from the addition of an OLED color display, the Philips GoGear SA2940 shares exactly the same specification as the previous SA2825 model in offering 4GB storage capacity, MP3, WAV and WMA audio file format compatibility, integrated voice recording capabilities allowing for voice memos, an integrated FM tuner and equaliser whilst USB 2.0 connectivity.
No word, as yet, concerning a specific release date or unit pricing.
