Runco CineWall CW-95HD PlasmaWall In Wall HD Projection Display

World’s First 95” HD In Wall Display Unit

Runco have unveiled their up and coming CineWall CW-95HD PlasmaWall In Wall HD Projection Display unit which, according to Runco, is ‘the World’s first 95-inch, High Definition 2.35:1 aspect ratio, in-wall display’ which sports a low-profile design offering a thickness of a ‘mere’ 33” in depth allowing for the CW-95HD to ‘fit into even the tightest spaces’ (now, perhaps its just us, but as far as tight spaces go, that’s a pretty big one).

Based on the SuperOnyx chipset, the Runco CineWall CW-95HD sports HDMI w/HDCP, DVI w/HDCP, Component (RCA), HD-15 (PC), S-Video, Composite and RS-232 connectivity and incorporates Runco’s Constant Contrast technology – offering frame-by-frame contrast correction to ‘provide stellar black levels within high-contrast video content’ – as well as Runco’s Positive Pressure Cooling system eliminating the need for excess cooling fans and an ISFccc calibration system, WideVision aspect ratio conversion technology, CSMS contrast and brightness, and, interestingly, is also billed as offering high-altitude operation allowing the CW-95HD to operate at altitudes up to 10,000 ft above sea level.

Runco CineWall CW-95HD Key Features:

  • DLP-based SuperOnyx light engine
  • ConstantContrast frame-by-frame contrast correction
  • Multiple aspect ratio control with VirtualWide
  • ISF calibration settings
  • CinOptx lens system for sharp-looking video
  • Vivix II internal processing
  • CineWide technology
  • 95″ 2.35:1 aspect ratio screen
  • RS-232 and IR control
  • High altitude operation

Runco’s CineWall CW-95HD PlasmaWall In Wall HD Projection Display is set to become available sometime in November and will retail for around the $50,000 price point (which places the CW-95HD well into the lofty realms of the ‘reassuringly expensive’).
