Amex Digital Portable Blu-ray Drive for MacBook & MacBook Pro

Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro users will no doubt welcome Amex Digital’s new Portable Blu-ray Super Multi Drive which will allow Mac users to read and write Blu-ray discs at up to 2x speed for single layer Blu-ray discs and 1x for dual-layer Blu-ray discs whilst also offering board DVD format support (with write speeds of up to 8x).
Sporting Quiet Drive and Liquid Crystal Tilt/Blur Compensator technology – offering reduced noise levels and greater disc read/write reliability – as well as inbuilt technology to help compensate for warped discs, the new Amex Digital Portable Blu-ray Super Multi Drive, which measures in at 140x143x16mm, offers BD-RE/-R/DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW compatibility and is being offered in two versions: The BDP-2 Blu-ray Player (retailing for around $290) and the BDP-2 Blu-ray Recorder (circa $390).
