LG Scarlet Series LG80 1080p LCD HDTV

LG has announced the latest addition to its Scarlet series of HDTV units, the LG80, which offers full 1080p HD definition along with a 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio though, interestingly, LG are yet to confirm what screen sizes the new LG80 HDTV will be made available with.
Notwithstanding the lack of information concerning the LG80’s screen sizes, LG have, however, made great fanfare concerning the LG80 LCD HDTV’s integrated 3.1 channel sound system with its two side mounted speaker units serving to extend from the rear of the unit when switched on (which are paired with a fixed center speaker and sub-woofer unit) resulting in 50 watts of output.
Of the scant information currently made available, LG have also confirmed that their LG80 LCD HDTV will sport two HDMI ports (HDMI 1.3) complimented by a USB port catering for DivX, JPEG and MP3 file formats to be read directly from USB memory cards.
LG’s LG80 LCD HDTV’s actual date of availability remains unconfirmed but what is known is that the LG80 is set for an international release excluding Europe and the US though quite why LG have decided that Europe and the US are to be excluded can merely be speculated upon.
