It’s been a while coming, but, at last, Facebook 2.0 has come to Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch courtesy of the Facebook 2.0 iPhone/Touch application which has just become available via the iTunes Application Store.
Apart from an (obviously) revamped user interface, the new version of the Facebook application boasts a host of features including:
- Notifications
- Facebook Chat
- Photo Tags
- Full News Feed
- People Search
- Address book lookup
- Faster Photo uploading
- Inbox Search and Message Attachments
- Friend requests and your full Inbox and Inbox search
- Write on friends’ walls and view their full profiles
- Upload photos from your library stored on the iPhone
Admittedly, at the time of writing, there are a few reports of bugs but, on the whole, user responses have been positive and there’s now doubt that if you simply cannot imagine not feeling ‘connected’ with you Facebook contacts whilst out and about, and you happen to own an iPhone or iPod Touch, this Facebook 2.0 application is sure to appease you – and the fact that it’s free will undoubtedly serve to lessen the frustrations as a number of reported bugs get ironed out.
The Facebook 2.0 iPhone/iPod Touch Application is available now from the iTunes Application Store and, if you’re looking to test out its features and functionality, where better to head than out new TFTS Facebook page?
