Eye-Fi Wireless SD Memory Cards Updated

Following on from our previous postings concerning the Eye-Fi range of wireless SD memory cards we couldn’t pass up on offering a brief heads up concerning an update that sees Eye-Fi’s transfer speeds – which have, up to now, been an area drawing some criticism – hiked to the point of being doubled to a far more reasonable 128Mbps – but the update doesn’t stop there.
Thankfully now owners of standard Eye-Fi wireless SD memory cards also have additional online photo services on offer – namely Apple’s MobileMe and AdoramaPix – as well as additional, optional subscription services such as geo-tagging and hotspot sharing capabilities which, along with the increased data transfer speeds, will doubtless make the Eye-Fi cards even more appealing than they already were (especially for photographers).
