Good day Jan …
I love a good debate! Thank you for your opinion. If you read my post, not once did I mention that this would ever be released not did I say that it was anything more than a “concept”. That being said however, I can appreciate the humour in it but would never accept such an invention hitting the market. I applaude the designer for his imagination – I find it incredibly amusing and by adding his “quote” I am showing people that it is indeed humourous. Why on earth would any designer suggest that throwing yourself at a moving vehicle “precisely 7 seconds before the initial point of acceleration” would be anything but bizarre. I am sorry if you were offended by my conversational piece. I did indeed see the Yanko article but I wanted to express my opinion on what such an invention would become, if indeed it was made. I truly believe that “fun” items such as these do give youngsters ludicrous ideas as I am young enough to remember some of the strange things I have found intriguing. Hope that makes sense to you and feel free to find me in the TFTS forum – perhaps we can debate future conceptual products together :)

Thank you for the clarification, Jan. I can now see where you are coming from and I will leave it to Bo to answer your concerns as the author of the post.

That said, certianly I agree that the angle taken as far as the post is concerned is, shall we say, not reflective of the actual (and most apparent) spirit of the actual work itself but Bo will, I’m sure, prefer to answer you herself in this respect when she’s back after the weekend.

Tone; Likewise “…is he on drugs”! I followed the links to the original news source (Yanko, etc..) and it turns out to be a theoretical (well, humorous shall we say) concept for a design competition. This “story” is taken out of context and it really annoys me when “researchers” don’t do their homework, but regurgitate nonsense.

If you have an issue with something that Bo has written, that’s fine, and I have no problem with you expressing your concerns. However, you did not express your concerns but merely chose to write a comment the tone of which I will not tolerate on my site.

If you cannot offer more than just put downs I suggest that you really ought to consider whether any such comment is bringing anything of value to the site.

Patently your comment did not.

If I spoke to you in similar fashion on your ‘territory’ I dare say you would have something to say about it. Kindly save your rudeness for elsewhere in future.
