The Kitchen desk is an example - Big Screen, may be even tv capabilities, waterproof keyboard, tiny computer with wifi, part of the household net. Watch tv, dvds (of your favorite cooks), look up recipes (personal files or internet), kitchen inventory, make shopping lists, family calendar. So yeah, something small makes sense.
