Of the more novel takes on mouse design, Nano’s  Eizo C@T-One (Cat One) Wireless TV Remote Control Mouse certainly has an undoubted claim to fame in offering a refreshing take on TV remote design with its circular design and built-in optical sensor, allowing the C@T-One to be used both as a TV remote and a PC mouse.

Measuring in at 83 × 32.9mm, the C@T-One has been designed specifically to work with Nano products but, according to the company’s press release is also compatible with third party AV devices such as TVs and digital tuners and comes with built-in PinP and nine button control allowing you to change channels, turn equipment on and off and control volume and, if you happen to feel like working at your PC, just simply flip the C@T-One over and the device will function as a standard optical mouse complete with scroll wheel.

Powered by AA batteries, the somewhat intriguing C@T-One mouse utilises 2.4GHz wireless technology (which hooks up to your PC via a receiver USB dongle) offering a range of around ten meters and is supported by Windows2000/XP/Vista (we assume the device is Media Center compatible), Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later though we are, at present, unable to establish whether this will see a release outside of Japan in the foreseeable future (if, indeed, at all).
