Altec Lansing Orbit MP3 iM237 Portable iPod, Cell Phone & Laptop Speaker

Altec Lansing have announced that their original Orbit portable speaker system for iPods (and other DAPs) as well as Cell Phones, laptops and, indeed, just about every gadget with a headphone socket, is to be superseded by a new model, the Altec Lansing Orbit MP3 iM237.
The new Orbit portable speaker, which sports a somewhat rugged appearance, offers a purported battery life of around twenty-four hours using three AAA batteries and whilst its diminutive size and the fact that it hooks up to your gadgetry via a headphone port would certainly indicate that the Orbit MP3 iM237 will offer neither any particular power or jaw dropping sound quality the fact that it’ll set you back a mere $40 inclusive f a protective travel case and a lanyard (allowing you to hang the speaker from your neck, should you be so inclined, is hardly going to break the bank.
