LG have officially announced the successor to their highly popular LG Viewty cell phone in the form of the LG KC910 multi-media camera phone which, apart from boasting a not unimpressive 8 megapixel camera complete with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, Xenon flash, and VGA video capture capabilities at 30fps also comes with a 3” WQVGA 240×400 resolution 262K colour touch screen complete with handwriting recognition, integrated GPS (which allows photos to be geo-tagged) and Dolby support for audio playback.
The LG KC910, which has obviously been designed from the outset to serve as a more than viable replacement for you standard point and shoot camera, also sports smile and blink detection auto and manual focus and a digital image stabiliser and even comes with a built-in TV-out connection allowing you to hook up the LG KC910 directly to a TV to view your photos and videos.
The handset is a quad-band GSM deviced with support for HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and, along with its impressive camera phone functionality also comes with Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity and an all too importable MicroSD card slot allowing you to ‘bolt on’ up to an additional 8GB of storage.
No news concerning the LG KC910’s pricing as at the time of writing, however, LG have confirmed that the LG KC910 will become available from October.
