Logitech Intro Squeezebox Boom Wireless Network Audio Player

Logitech have announced their latest addition to their Squeezebox range, namely the Squeezebox Boom, billed by Logitech as being the ‘CD player of the 21st century’ which not only offers Wi-Fi streaming of audio from your PC and access to internet radio broadcasts via your wireless home network but which also boasts top quality speakers in the form of dual ¾” soft dome tweeters and high-power, long-throw woofers powered by a class-D amplifier offering up to 30W of output.

Offering the end-user the ability to stream music wirelessly throughout their home, the Logitech Squeezebox Boom can access free internet radio stations as well as subscription serves such as Rhapsody, Last.FM, Slacker, Pandora and Sirius and, thanks to the Squeezebox Boom automatically detecting available networks setting it up is billed as being as simple as merely plugging the unit in.
Compatible with Logitech’s Squeezebox Duet network music system, the Squeezebox Boom comes with integrated alarm clock functionality and remote and is set to retail from early September for around $300.
