Canon’s Powershot E1 – A Delightful Soft Design For Women By Women

So, as a woman, what do I think of the new Canon Powershot E1 for women by women? Hmmm … Well, it’s most definitely soft, pastel and “pretty” as one would imagine a woman would love, but I’m still waiting for my bright, shiny, colourful retro cameras to make their mark!

These cameras exude all that is associated with the word “woman” with their soft curves, delightful pastel cotton pinks, aqua blues and vanilla whites and the camera’s overall positive vibe (which Canon has used as a guideline for the design) all work to create a streamlined beauty that any women would be proud of owning.
Although the colours are not my cup of tea, I’m glad to see they didn’t simply create a “pretty” camera and realised that women seek perfection when they take pictures (I’m one of these precision freaks). The Powershot E1 features 10 megapixel photo capturing ability as well as a 4 x optical zoom, and for those who know your cameras, it has an ISO range of 80 – 1600 (3200 in scene mode) – pretty impressive!
You’ll also appreciate its 2.5 inch LCD display when taking pictures using the onboard image stabilizer and the fact that your pictures can be stored in the internal memory, on an array of memory cards (namely SDHC/SD/MMC/MMCplus/HC MMCplus cards ) or on your own pc using the USB port. As usual, this digital Powershot E1 comes standard with an AV port too, so you’ll be able to impress your girlfriends with your beautiful album of current pictures!
I happen to think, however, that despite these wonderful features, the next one is the one that will sell it; the Powershot E1 is a mere 160g and a meager 101.2 x 31.4 x 63.8mm which means you’ll be able to fit it comfortably in your already cumbersome bag – ready to take anywhere and everywhere!
