
Canon have announced their new DIGIC III powered PowerShot SX110 IS super zoom digital camera which, in serving to replace Canon’s SX100 IS, offers an increased resolution of 9 megapixels paired with 10x optical zoom functionality, all within a device that is actually more compact that its predecessor.
Powered by Canon’s DIGIC III (Digital Imaging Core) image processor, which also offers advanced Noise Reduction Technology and Face Detection AF/AE/FE, Canon’s PowerShot SX110 IS also boasts iSAPS (intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) which, according to canon, ‘automatically optimizes key camera settings before every shot’ as well as a wide range of 20 shooting modes designed to achieve optimum results in a wide range of lighting conditions.

Canon’s PowerShot SX110 IS will become available in the US for around $300 at the end of this month with the PowerShot SX110 IS’s European release set for September where it will set you back around (a somewhat more expensive) €309.
