Whilst the existence of Canon’s up and coming (and much anticipated) EOS 50D DSLR has been known about for a while now – its hardly been the best kept secret – now, thanks to an error by none other than Canon themselves (specifically Canon’s Chinese site) – we can at last view the EOS 50D in all its glory as well as offer a breakdown of the EOS 50D’s specifications.

For those who aren’t interested in wading through the EOS 50D’s full specifications as detailed below, the main highlights are a 15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, 14-bit image processing courtesy of Canon’s Digic 4 processor, a 9 segment AF/AE sensor array, ISO 100 to 3200 capabilities and HDMI output.
