Acer have today announced a new price structure with respect to its Acer Aspire One mini notebook (netbook) range in what could (and we say could advisably) be the start of a price war with the price of its six-cell battery XP powered Aspire One, the Linpus Linux Lite Aspire One AOA110-1722 and the three-cell battery Aspire One AOA150-1570 all seeing revised pricing.
“The Aspire one is a breakthrough product that meets the connectivity needs of both students and mobile professionals,” said Kristin Markworth, senior manager of notebook product marketing for Acer America, who announced the pricing revisions. “By increasing the value of our mobile Internet device lineup, Acer is opening the Aspire one experience to a whole new base of users.”
Accordingly the Atom powered Aspire One AOA150-1570 (with XP, 1GB of RAM, 120 GB HDD, and a three-cell battery) will now be priced at $349 whilst the Aspire One AOA110-1722 with Linpus Linux Lite will set you back $329 with the Aspire One AOA150-1447 (featuring a six-cell battery, 160GB internal hard drive and Windows XP Home) coming in at $399.
