Sony Confirm New PSP-3000 Shipping Date for Europe

Sony chose the Leipzig Games Convention to confirm that the latest iteration of the PSP, namely the much speculated about Sony PSP-3000 – which appears to offer a brighter screen as well as a built in microphone and out-of-the-box Skype support – will hit European shelves this October.
Additional to the brighter screen, which will also offer less glint to aid viewing the display in bright light the PSP-3000’s display will also offer more vivid colour reproduction whilst the dimensions of the device will remain wholly unaltered. Oh, and there’s a new ‘PS’ button.
Hardly a revelation, by anyone’s standards, but if you’re looking to avail yourself of the new PSP-3000 and you happen to live in Europe you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll only have to fight the sheer anticipation of it all until October 15th.
