According to contacts at Gateway, they have just designed a new P-Series FX Edition (P-7811FCX) Notebook just for me. I don’t think they realize this yet but yes, they must have got my subconscious checklist for what I require in a notebook, that I sent off to Father Christmas this past December.
For one, the P-Series FX Edition notebook PC is said to be ideal for gaming (tick), entertainment (tick), digital media (tick), photography (tick) and video editing (tick). Full marks all round!
Basically I have found a notebook that will fulfill all my needs as a designer, writer and avid gamer who happens to be camera crazy too! Even better, Todd Titera (Senior manager) has stated that the notebook boasts the latest technology at an affordable price which means you don’t have to break the bank for this Intel Centrino 2 powered beauty. At $1399.00 he definitely isn’t kidding around.
So what do you get for this $1399.00? Well, firstly, The Gateway P-7811FX uses the most modern NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS graphics capability which is enhanced by the 512MB of GDDR3 memory. Real-time 3D visuals and realistic video display are all the more impressive due to the combined force of the graphics card with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
If you’re anything like me and the bigger the screen, the better, then you’re going to love the P-7811FX’s HDMI v1.3 media connection which will ensure an easy link to visual devices such as TV or projector for those really big displays.
Manufacturers have realized that we, as humans, like to access our favourites at the click of a button and have therefore included special illuminated multimedia keys on the keyboard in order to access these favourite files. Volume is also situated in the keyboard with touch control capability.
However, these are not the only features of my perfect machine. The P-7811FX also features a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11 Draft-N with expanded wireless features, 5-in-1 media card reader, three USB 2.0 ports and an IEEE 1394 port. *phew* … enough already?
Well, just so you know, this gorgeous notebook also comes equipped with 4GB of memory as well as a 200GB hard drive, a 2nd hard drive bay, a dual layer DVDRW and Microsoft Windows Home Edition.
Can you say fully loaded?
