Bose SoundDock Series II Digital Music System for iPod & iPhone

Bose has taken the wraps off its second generation of SoudDock music systems with the unveiling of its new SoundDock Series II Digital Music System which has been designed for use with Apple’s iPod and both the original and the 3G version of the iPhone (thus becoming Bose’s first fully Apple certified iPhone product) though, thanks to the addition of an auxiliary input, the SoundDock Series II will also work with other non-Apple DAPs.

Measuring in at 6 5/8″ x 12″ x 6 1/2″ the SoundDock Series II has, according to Bose, been updated to more closely resemble the clean and distinctive lines of the Bose SoundDock Portable digital music system and comes with Bose’s proprietary acoustic design and signal processing technology and, naturally, will also charge your iPod, iPod Touch or iPhone whilst they are docked.
Interestingly, at the time of writing, Bose have not offered any detailed specifications concerning their SoundDock Series II Digital Music System – so we cannot offer any information concerning sound output, frequency range, etc – but Bose have, at least, confirmed that the SoundDock Series II Digital Music System will be made available from September in Gloss Black and will retail for around $300.
