The New Exciting Digital Composer Interface Is Set To Impress All Musicians

Our friends at Yanko design have done it again by keeping us up to date with new technologies. The Digital Composer Interface is a simple idea that is set to take the musically talented and more specifically the composers of the world to new heights.

This technological advancement allows musicians and singers to simply sing into the pen/microphone and basically watch the notes be transcribed in front of their very eyes. Absolutely gob smacking!

For those die hard composers who refuse to shirk the use of a pen and paper, Yanko has not forgotten about you either. All you have to do is again, use you pen/microphone to directly compose onto the tablet itself. As the notes are recorded by hand, the tablet will then digitize the song information and begin to play it back as an audio file for you for quick and easy harmonious translation.

The tablet, in essence, works quite similarly to a sample pad in that it will store a library of compositions and will play it back with all musical and instrumental arrangements as and when you need it to.

The Digital Composer Interface all looks divine on paper, but I wonder how well it is going to work in the real world with real muzos? I only ask this because I happened to be raving about it to one of my bands, and granted they’re influenced by metal, but let’s just say they were less than enthused. Perhaps a series of genre specific designs might work in getting the sheep to flock to the other side …
