Produced by MotoArt – the very same company that gave us such wholly unforgettable gems as the previously featured B52 Stratofortress Ejector Seat Office Chair and the Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet Engine Cowling Reception Desk – this decidedly kinky (and somewhat geeky) Mile High Bed promises aviation buffs bedtime frolics that are sure to go hand in hand with a warning of impending turbulence (and, perhaps, even a couple of low passes followed by the odd barrel roll just for good measure).

Measuring in at 11’ in length and 7’ 6” in width, the Mile High Bed is fabricated using two DC-9 (passenger jet) rear stabilisers and a C-130 (military cargo aircraft) inner flap (no sniggering at the back there, please) complete with LED lighting strips and is billed as being ‘a wonderful playground for you and your co-pilot’ as you practise your touch and go’s.
The Mile High Bed is available from MotoArt on a first come first served basis with unit pricing being provided, as we understand it, on a contact basis only.

[...] A chair made of torpedo-launcher parts just wouldn’t say “come hither” to techy ladies in the same way as this bed from Motoart. Dubbed Mile High, you can tell it’s aimed at the sexier end of the geek furniture market, partly as it’s marketed with a “a wonderful playground for you and your co-pilot” slogan, and especially when you notice the line of glowing red LEDs that pimp the frame’s lower edge. The 11- by 7.5-foot bed is made of two DC-9 stabilizer fins and a C-130 inner flap. And if there’s a particular aviator you want to attract between the sheets, you’ll likely have to save up: it’s price on application only, which generally means lots of dollars.
