Sony Ericsson has taken the wraps off its new T700 cell phone which, according to Sony Ericsson’s press release, will help you ‘stand out from the crowd’ thanks to its ‘timeless design and premium features’ and we suspect that few of you, having seen the imagery of the T700 on this post, would deny that, as far as cell phones go, the T700 is certainly an immensely good looking handset.

Unfortunately, whilst the T700 – which measures in at 48.0 x 104.0 x 10.0mm and weighs 78g - boasts supremely desirable design, the T700’s specifications are, at best, somewhat uninspiring (read: middle of the road) with the quad-band GSM/UMTS/HSDPA 2100 device sporting a 2” 262K colour 240 x 320 resolution TFT display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with geotagging, Bluetooth A2DP, integrated stereo speaker and 512MB of storage capacity thanks to a bundled Stick Micro card.

The key, then, to the T700’s success is its pricing point which, at the time of writing, remains unknown though Sony Ericsson have confirmed that their new T700 is scheduled for release sometime in Q4 of this year in ‘selected markets’.
