
Epson have officially detailed two new Multimedia Photo Viewers in the form of the P-6000 and P-7000 which offer photographers the ability to store their images on the devices inbuilt hard disk as well as view their captures - in both JPEG and RAW file formats - courtesy of an integrated 640 x 480 VGA 16.7 million colour 4” LCD screen.
Boasting 94% of the Adobe RGB color space ensuring supreme colour accuracy, Epson’s new Multimedia Photo Viewers come with 80GB and 160GB capacity hard drives (P-6000 and P-7000 respectively) and, apart from supporting JPEG and RAW file formats also offer MPEG-4, Motion JPEG and H.264/AVC SVGA video file compatibility as will as support for MP3 audio files with sound being provided via an inbuilt headphone socket allowing the user to hook up either headphones or external speakers.

Offering up to a somewhat unspectacular 3 hours of battery life based on a full charge, Epson’s P-6000 and P-7000 Multimedia Photo Viewers will both become available from September and will retail for around $600 and $800 respectively.
