Freecom Mobile Drive XXS HDD – Billed As World’s Smallest 2.5” External Hard Drive

Freecom have announced their new Mobile Drive XXS external 2.5” hard disk drive which Frecom claim, in measuring in at a mere 109.8 x 79.5 x 13.5 mm / 4.32 x 3.13 x 0.53 inches is not only the world’s smallest 2.5” USB 2.0 external hard drive but is a not unimpressive 27% smaller than its (unnamed) closest competitor and which, apart from weighing just 155g, will be made available in 160GB, 250GB and 320GB capacities.

Offering data transfer speeds of up to 480Mbit/s, Freecom’s Mobile Drive XXS HDD comes with ‘a form-fitting rubber sleeve for optimal grip’ and is set to become available imminently in the UK with pricing of the 160GB, 250GB and 320GB versions stated in Freecom’s press release as being just shy of £45, £60 and £80 respectively.
