Maingear, a company with a well established reputation in the custom PC sector, have announced that they are set to release a new pro-gaming notebook known as the Maingear eX-L which, apart from sporting a Core 2 Extreme X9100 CPU under the hood (which is naturally overclocked above its default clock speed of 3.06GHz – though to what extend remains unspecified) – also comes with upgradeable MXM 2 graphics ports allowing the eX-L to accommodate either two ATI graphics cards or a single Nvidia (8800 GTX?) GPU.
Details are somewhat on the scant side at the time of writing, however, what is known apart from the above is that Maingear’s eX-L pro-gaming notebook will sport a 17” display complimented by integrated stereo speakers and sub-woofer as well as built-in Intel A/G/N Wi-Fi connectivity.
Pricing and availability at the time of writing have not been specified, however, it is safe to assume that the eX-L will be aimed squarely at those happy to fork out a doubtless considerable sum for what is looking to be a beast of a portable gaming rig.
