Kodak EasyShare W820 W1020 Wireless Digital Picture Frames

Kodak’s press office seems to be in full overdrive at the moment with a spate of product announcements and, following on from their announcements concerning their new Zi6 720p HD Pocket Video Camera and their EasyShare Z1015 IS 10MP Camera Kodak have also detailed two new EasyShare wireless digital picture frames – namely the EasyShare W820 and the EasyShare W1020.

The EasyShare W820 and the EasyShare W1020 Wireless Digital Picture Frames offer 8” and 10” 16:9 widescreen displays complete with Kodak’s Color Science technology promising ‘vibrant colour and crisp detail’ as well as their Quick Touch Border offering touchscreen menus located at the bottom of each frame’s display with both frames sporting 512MB of internal storage capacity that can be supplemented with SD cards. Additionally, both models also offer MP3 playback capabilities and come with built-in speakers allowing for a little mood music to accompany your picture slideshows.

Thanks to their integrated wireless connectivity, hooking up both the W820 and the W1020 to your PC to allow direct access to photo sharing sites such as Flickr and Kodak’s own Kodak Gallery service is a breeze and you can even display the latest news, weather, sports, traffic information, etc via RSS courtesy of the FrameChannel service if your can live with the somewhat dominant ad that the service will emblazon across the footer of your frame (personally, we could not).

Both of Kodak’s new EasyShare wireless digital photo frames are due to be released in August (08) and will retail for $250 and $280 for the 8” W820 and 10” W1020 respectively.
